    Answer: (b) 1 

    Solution:-
    Formula-
    (a + b)^3 = a^3 + b^3 + 3 ab^2 + 3 a^2 b 

    Then, (0.98  +0.02)^3 = (0.98)^3 + (0.02)^3 + 3 (0.98) (0.02)^2 + 3 (0.98)^2 (0.02)
     = (1.0)^3
     = 1

    Then, the value of (0.98)^3 + (0.02)^3 + 3 (0.98) (0.02)^2 + 3 (0.98)^2 (0.02) is 1. 

    Hence, the correct answer is option (b) 1.
