    Answer:  (2) 5 days
    Explanation:-
    A can do a piece of work = 20 days
    Therefore, A can do work in a day = 1/20

    B can do the same work = 12 days
    Therefore, B can do the work in a day = 1/12

    B can do the work in 9 days = 9/12
    = 3/4
    Remaining work = 1 – 3/4
    = (4 – 3) /4
    = 1/4

    Then, A can finish the remaining work = 20 x 1/4
    = 5 days

    Hence, the answer is (2) 5 days.
