    Answer: (4) 50 (2)^1/2

    Solution:-
    According to the question look at the below figure,

    RE: A person walks 250 m towards East, then walks 50 m towards North

    The distance between the starting point to last point = (50^2 + 50^2)^1/2
    = (2500 + 2500)^1/2
    = (2 x 2500)^1/2
    = 50 (2)^1/2

    Hence, the correct answer is option (4) 50 (2)^1/2.
