A rhombus is formed by joining midpoints of the rectangle in the suitable order. If the area of the rhombus is 2 square units, then the area of the rectangle is
(a) 2 sqrt.2 square units
(b) 4 square units
(c) 4 sqrt.2 square units
(d) 8 square units

    Answer: (b) 4 square units

    Solution:-
    Formula-
    The area of the rhombus = product of both diagonals /2 

    RE: A rhombus is formed by joining midpoints of the rectangle in the suitable order


    Both diagonals of rhombus = length and breadth of rectangle 
    So, the area of the rectangle = 2 x area of the rhombus 
     = 2 x 2 
     = 4 square units. 

    Hence, the correct answer is option (b) 4 square units.
