A train M leaves Meerut at 5 a.m. and reaches Delhi at 9a.m. Another train N leaves Delhi at 7 a.m. and reaches Meerut at 10.30 a.m. At what time do the two trains cross one another?
(a) 8.26 a.m.
(b) 8.00 a.m.
(c) 7.36 a.m.
(d) 7.56 a.m.

    Answer: (d) 7.56 a.m. 

    Solution:-
    According to the question, 
    Then
    (X/3.5) x t + (X/4) x (t+2)= X
    or
    t/3.5 + (t+2)/4 =1

    Then
    t= 7/7.5 hrs or 56 mins.

    So trains will meet at 7.56 a. m.

    Hence, the correct answer is option (d) 7.56 a. m.
