    There is not a correct option according to the C. Rangarajan committee

    Last year the expert committee was set up by Planning Commission under former chairperson of Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council C. Rangarajan,  has redefined the poverty line. According to the Committee report, the new poverty line should be Rs.32 in rural areas and Rs.47 in Urban areas.

    The earlier poverty lines figure was Rs.33 for Urban India and Rs.27 for rural India.
