    Oxides of nitrogen and sulphur

    Acid rain is caused due to pollution of Atmosphere by Oxides of nitrogen and sulphur.  Acid rain effects lakes and streams and also contributes damage of trees at high elevations, it increase the acidity level of rivers, lakes and seas by this can kill aquatic species . It also erode buildings and monuments.
