What is Age of B Today? If

The ratio of ages of A and B 10 years ago was 3 : 5. If the ratio of their present ages is 2:3, how old is B today?

    Answer: (c) 60 years
    Explanation:-

    Let the age of A = X years and the age of B = Y years

    According to question, (X – 10)/(Y – 10) = 3/5
    5X – 50 = 3Y – 30
    5X – 3Y = 20           …………………….(1)

    Again, X/Y = 2/3
    3X = 2Y
    3X – 2Y = 0            ……………………….(2)

    Solve equation (1) and (2)
    X = 40 and put the value of X In equation (1)
    5 x 40 – 3Y = 20
    – 3Y = 20 – 200
    3Y = 180
    Y = 60
