    Answer: (4) 52 & 87

    Explanation:-
    Let the present age of Jais be X years  and the age of his father be Y years.

    Jais and his father has an age difference of 35 years now.
    Then,   Y – X = 35   …………………. (1)

    After 5 years, the sum of their age is 125.
     (X + 5) + (Y + 5) = 125
    X + Y + 10 = 125
    X + Y = 125 – 10
    X + Y = 115  ………………………… (2)

    Add equation (1) & (2),
    Y – X + X + Y = 35 + 115
    2 Y = 150
    Y = 150/2
    Y = 75 years

    Now, put the value of Y = 75 in equation (2),
    Then, X + 75 = 115
    X = 115 – 75
    X = 40 years

    So, the age of Jais after 12 years = 40 + 12 = 52 years  and the age of his father after 12 years = 75 + 12 = 87 years.

    Hence, the correct answer is option (4) 52, 87.
