What will be the Area of Plot? If

Two sides of a plot measuring 32 m and 24 m and the angle between them is a perfect right angle. The other two side measure 25 m each and the other three angles are not right angles. The area of the plot in m2 is

  1. 768
  2. 534
  3. 696.5

Answer: (4)684
Explanation:-
According to the question,
In the figure-

RE: What will be the Area of Plot? If

RP = 40 cm                                  (Diagonal)
Draw a perpendicular OQ on RP.
Triangle QRP is a isosceles triangle.
So, it will divide RP in two equal parts.
Therefore, OP = OR = 20 m
In triangle QOR,
QO2 = 252 – 202 = 625 – 400 = 225
225 = 32 x 52
QO = 15 m
the total area of PQRS = Area of triangle PQR + Area of triangle PQS
= 15 x 40 /2 + 24 x 32/2
= (600 + 768)/2 = 1368/2 = 684 m square.
Hence, the answer is (4) 684 m square.
