What will the Area of Rectangle in sq cm? If

Perimeter of a rectangle is 50cm and the length and the breadth are in the ratio of 3:2 respectively. What is the area of rectangle in sq cm?

    Answer: (3) 150cm2

    Explanation:-
    Let the the length is X m  & breadth is 2 X.
    The ratio of the length & breadth of a rectangle = 3 : 2
    Formula-
    Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 (l + b)
    Where, l = length   & b = breadth 

    Then, 2 ( 3 X + 2 X ) = 50
    2 x 5 X = 50
    10 X = 50
    X = 50 / 10
    X = 5 cm
    Then, the length of the rectangle is 3 X = 3 x 5  = 15 cm   & the breadth is 2 X = 2 x 5 = 10 cm
    Formula-
    The area of the rectangle = l x b

    Then, the area of the rectangle = 15 x 10
    = 150 cm square.
    Hence, the area of the rectangle is (3) 150 cm square.
