If the perimeter of a rectangular field is 480 m, and the ratio of its length and breadth is 5 : 3, then find out the area of the field.

    Answer: (2) 13500 m2
    Explanation:-

    The ratio of the length and breadth of a rectangle = 5: 3
    Let the length of the rectangular park be 5X m and the breadth is 3X m.

    Formula-
    The perimeter of the rectangular park = 2 (length + breadth)

    The perimeter of the rectangular park = 480
    Then, 2 (5X + 3X) = 480
    2 x 8X = 480
    16X = 480
    X = 480/16
    X = 30

    Then, the length of the rectangular park is 5X = 5 x 30 = 150 m
    And the breadth of the rectangular park is 3X = 3 x 30 = 90 m

    Formula-
    The area of the rectangular park = Length x Breadth

    Then, the area of the rectangular park = 150 x 90
    = 13500 m2

    Then, the area of the rectangular park is 13500 m2

    Hence, the answer is (2) 13500 m2.
