If the altitude of an equilateral triangle is 12√3 cm, then it’s area would be:

    Answer:  (2) 144 √3 cm2

    Explanation:-

    Formula – 

    The altitude of  the equilateral triangle = √3 a/2
    Then,  √3 a/2 = 12 √3
    a/2 = 12
    a = 12 x 2
    a = 24 cm
    Then, the side of an equilateral triangle is 24 cm.
    Formula-
    The area of an equilateral triangle = √3 a^2/4
    Then, The area of an equilateral triangle = √3  x 24 x 24/4
    = √3 x 24 x 6
    = 144 √3  cm^2
    Then, the area of an equilateral triangle is 144 √3 cm2

    Hence, the answer is (2) 144 √3 cm2
