In How Much Time will ‘B’ Alone will Finish the Remaining Work?

‘A’ can do piece work in 6(2/3) days. ‘B’ can do the same work in 10 days. Working together, both continues to do the work for 2 days and then ‘A’ leaven the work. In What time will ‘B’ alone will finish the remaining work?

    Answer: (4) 5 days.
    Explanation:-

    A can do a piece of work = 20/3 days
    A can work in a day = 3/20

    B can do a piece of work = 10 days
    B can do a piece of in a day = 1/10

    Both together to do work for 2 days
    then, both together can do work I two days =  2 x 3/20 + 2 x 1/10
    6/20 + 2/10 = 1/2
    Remaining work = 1 – ½
    = 1/2 work
    Therefore, B alone finish work = 10 x ½
    = 5 days,

    Hence, the answer is 5 days.
