     Bauxite is Ore of Aluminium.

    Bauxite was named by the French geologist Pierre Berthier in 1821. It is a rock formed from laterites soil that has been severely leached of silica. It is the main source of Aluminium.

    It is a mixture of hydrous aluminium oxides, aluminium hydroxides, clay minerals and insoluble materials such as quartz, hematite, magnetite, siderite and goethite.

    Bauxite producing countries were: Australia, China, Brazil, India, Guinea, Jamaica, Russia, Kazakhstan, Suriname and Greece.
