Cloves is such a type of spices and herbs and a most popular spices in the world. Clove tree is an evergreen tree. The scientific name of cloves is Syzygium aromaticum.  Calve name came from the Latin word a clavus. it’s meaning nail.

Cloves call the ‘Laung, Lavang’ in Indian kitchen. Cloves also have many names in Indian kitchen in each state like as
In Tamil call as Lavangam, Krambu, In Malayalam call as Kariampo, In Telugu call Lavangalu, In Gujarati call Laving, In Bengali call Lobongo, In Punjabi and Marathi call Lavang, In Oriya call Labanga, In Udru call Lehsan Ki Pothi, Long. Cloves are used for the manufacture of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and Chinese five-spice powder.

Cloves are high in vitamins, minerals and fiber. This spice is a good source of vitamin-A, vitamin-K, vitamin-B6, vitamin B-1, vitamin-C. The essential oil, eugenol in Cloves has been in therapeutic use in dentistry as a local-anesthetic and antiseptic for teeth and gum.
