    Vishnu Sharma

Vishnu Sharma compiled the tales of the Panchatra.  Vishnu Sharma was an Indian scholar and author. The Panchatantra is India’s great contributions to the world literature. This book contains the most widely known stories in the world. The Panchatantra stories were compiled, in their current form, between the 3rd and 5th centuries AD.

Vishnu Sharma is one of the most widely translated non-religious authors in history. Panchatantra started its journey before 570 AD with an initial version of Pahlavi (Persian) during the reign of Emperor Khosro Anushirvan of Iran.
