    Are Charged particles

Cosmic rays are high energy charged particles, originating in outer space, that travel at nearly the speed of light and strike the Earth from all directions. Cosmic rays are a type of radiation that comes from space.

    RE: Cosmic rays

Cosmic rays are pieces of atoms, flying through space at incredible speeds. Sometimes they hit Earth, and some of them even hit you. Something 30 cosmic rays fly through your body every second, in fact.

    RE: Cosmic rays

Cosmic rays were discovered by the Austrian-American physicist Victor Francis Hess. Victor Francis Hess (24 June 1883 – 17 December 1964)  discovered this new type of radiation in 1912.
