Soil Erosion in desert areas an be prevented by Afforestation or tree plantation.

The main cause of erosion in desert is due to the lake of vegetation and forestation. Tree root holds soil,  stops it from moving away and increases water level so that erosion process will slow down.

It is very necessary to prevent soil erosion in desert because erosion leads to soil infertility and hence decreasing in water level and increase in barren area.
