    Answer:  (1) 6 cm 

    Solution:-

    RE: The diameter of a circle is 10 cm. If the distance of a chord from the centre of the circle be 4 cm, then the length of the chord is :


    AP = sqrt, (5^2 – 4^2) 
      = sqrt.(25 – 16)
      = sqrt.9
    AP = 3 cm 

    Then, the length of the chord AB = 2 x 3 = 6 cm 

    Hence, the correct answer is option (1) 6 cm.
