Raghu travelled 1200 km by air which formed 2/5th of his trip. 1/3rd of the whole trip he travelled by car and the rest of the journey he did by train. The distance travelled by train is

    Answer: (2) 800 km

    Explanation:-
    Let the total distance travelled by the Raghu = X km.

    Raghu travelled 1200 km by air which formed 2/5th of his trip.
    Then, X x 2/5 = 1200
    X = 1200 x 5/2
    X = 3000 km

    1/3rd of the whole trip travelled by car,
    Then, the trip travelled by car = 3000/3 = 1000 km

    The rest of the journey he did by the train,
    Then, the journey travelled by the train = 3000 – (1200 + 1000)
    = 3000 – 2200
    = 800 km.

    Hence, the answer is (2) 800 km.
