    Government of India Act 1919

    Government of India Act 1919 Introduced Dyarchy to Govern the Provinces of India. It was an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. This Act was passed to expand participation of Indian in the government of India. This Act made many changes in the administration of India

    • The secretary of state for Indian was paid out of the Indian revenues. It was now provided that the future he would be paid out of British revenues¬†
    • The High Commissioner was to act as the agent of the Governor-General in Council.
