    Should have completed the age of 35 years

    The Eligibility Criteria for Age for Election as Vice President of India should have completed the age fo 35 years. The Vice President elected by the houses in accordance with the system of proportional representation by means of single transferable vote and vote being secret. The Supreme Court has the final and exclusive jurisdiction for resolving disputes and doubts related to the election fo the Vice President of India.

    • Age Should be more than 35 years
    • Should be Indian (Citizen of India)
    • Possess the qualification of membership of Rajya Sabha
    • Not hold any office of profit under union, state of local authority.

    Mohammad Hamid Ansari is the current Vice-PResident of India. He is the 14th Vice President of the India. The Vice President is the second-highest constitutional post in independent India. Mohammad Hamid Ansari is the only Vice President to get elected this post the second time.
