What is the equivalent resistance of the combination

A wire of resistance R is cut into ‘n’ equal parts. These part are then connected in parallel. The equivalent resistance of the combination will be

  2. R/n
  3. n/R
  4. R/n square

    R/n Square

    Since R is directly proportional to length of the wire.
    when wire is cut into n equal parts, then Resistance of each parts, then
    Resistance of each part=R/n
    When the n wires are connected in parallel, then the equivalent resistance of combination is

    1/R 2(subscript)=n/R ÷ n/R ÷ n/R …………. n times
    1/R 2(subscript) = n square/R
    R 2(subscript) = R/n square
