    1. Answer: (c) Rs. 3, 000

      Explanation:-
The total income of a family = Rs. 60, 000
The percentage of expense on food = 20%
      Then, the Expanse on food = 60, 000 x 20/100
      = Rs. 12, 000

The percentage of expanse on education = 15%
      Then, the on education = 60, 000 x 15/100
      = Rs. 9, 000

Thus, the difference between the food and education expanses = 12, 000 – 9, 000
      = Rs. 3, 000

Hence, the answer is (c) Rs. 3, 000.

    2. Answer: (d) Rs. 49, 200

      Explanation:-
      The percentage of total expenditure monthly by the family = 15 + 20 + 15 + 5 + 10 + 17
      = 82%
Then, the total expenditure  monthly by the family = 60, 000 x 82/100
      = 600 x 82
      = Rs. 49, 200

Hence, the answer is (d) Rs. 49, 200.
