    Answer: (1) Rs. 1500

    Explanation:-
The average expenditure of a man for the first five months = Rs. 1200
Therefore, the sum of expenditure of money foe the first five months = 5 x 1200
     = Rs. 6, 000

The average expenditure for next seven months = Rs. 1300
Therefore, the sum of expenditure of money for next seven months = 7 x 1300
     = Rs.9, 100

    Then, the total expenditure of a man during the year = 6, 000 + 9, 100
     = Rs. 15, 100

He saves in the year = Rs. 2, 900

    So, the total income of a year = 15, 100 + 2, 900
     = Rs. 18, 000

Then, his monthly average income = 18, 000/12
     = Rs. 1, 500

Hence, the correct answer is (1) Rs. 1, 500.
