# Find The Other Parallel Side.

The area of a trapezium shaped field is 480 m^{2}, the height is 15 m and one of the parallel side is 20 m. Find the other parallel side.

- 44 m
- 20 m
- 84 m
- 150 m

**Answer: (1) 44 m**

**Explanation:-**

**Given-**

The parallel side of a trapezium = 20 m

Let the another parallel side of a trapezium = X m

Height of a trapezium = 15 m

Area of a trapezium = 480 m square

**Formula-**

**Area of a trapezium = h (sum of parallel sides)/2**

**Where, h = height of a trapezium.
**Then, 480 = 15 x (20 + X)/2

480 x 2 = 15 x 20 + 15 X

15 X = 960 – 300

X = 660/15

X = 44 m

Hence, the other parallel side of a trapezium is 44 m.
