    Answer: (a) 5 unit 

    Solution:-
    Formula of distance between two points= sqrt.{(x1- x2)^2 + (y1 – y2)^2}

    Then, the distance between (7, 3) and (4, -1).
    = sqrt.{(7 – 4)^2 + (3 + 1)^2)}
    = sqrt.{(3)^2 + (4)^2}
    = sqrt.(9 + 16)
    = sqrt.(25)
    = 5 unit.

    So, the distance between (7, 3) and (4, -1).

    Hence, the correct answer is option (a) 5 unit.
