Find the Number of Days Required to Finish the Work by A and C :

A and B can do a given piece of work in 8 days, B and C can do the same work in 12 days and A,B,C completer it in 6 days, Number of days required to finish the work by A and C is

Answer is (1): 8

Explanation:-
A and B can do a  piece of work = 8 days
Therefore, A and B can do a piece of work in a day = 1/8

B and C can do the same work  = 12 days
Therefore, B and C can do the same work inn a day = 1/12

A, B and C can do the same work = 6 days
Therefore, A, B and C can do the same work in a day = 1/6

Then, A and C can do the same work in a day = 2/6 – (1/8 + 1/12)
 = 1/3 – (3 + 2)/24
 = 1/3 – 5/24
 = (8 – 5)/24
 = 3/24
 = 1/8
Therefore, A and C can the same work = 8 days.

Hence, the answer is (1) 8.
