Given that the ratio of altitudes of two triangles is 4:5, ratio of their areas is 3:2. The ratio of their corresponding base is

    Answer is (3): 15:8

    Explanation:-
    The ratio of altitudes of two triangle = 4: 5
    The ratio of their areas = 3: 2

    Area of a triangle = height x base/2
    base = area of triangle x 2/height

    Then, the ratio of their base = (3 x 2/4)/(2 x 2/5)
     = 3 x 5/2 x 4
     = 15/8
     = 15: 8

    Hence, the answer is (3) 15: 8.
