Gopal Krishna Gokhle was the political  Guru of Mahatma Gandhi ji. He was more famous as Mahatma Gandhi’s political Guru. He was among the tallest leaders of the Indian national Congress. He was elected to the Bombay legislative council in 1899. Gokhle became the president of the In National congress at Banaras in 1905.

Gopal Grishna Gokhle was born in Ratnagiri, Bombay presidency on 9 May  1866.  He was the Maharashtriya Chitpavan Brahman. He became a member of Indian National Congress in 1889.He was the first visited in South Africa in 1896.
He was died on 19 February 1915.
