Find the Height of the Cuboid

The volume of a cuboid is 3840 cm3. If the length and breadth of the cuboid are 20 cm and 16 cm respectively. Find the height of the cuboid:

  1. 10 cm
  2. 12 cm
  3. 8 cm
  4. None of these

    Answer: (2) 12 cm
    Explanation:-
    Given-

    Length = 20 cm, breadth = 16 cm  & volume = 3840 cm cube
    The volume of the cuboid = 3849 cm cube

    Formula- 
    The volume of the cuboid  = l x b x h
    Where, l = length of the cuboid , b = breadth of the cuboid & h = height of the cuboid.

    Then,  20 x 16 x h = 3849
    h = 3849/320
    h = 12 cm
    Then, the length of the cuboid is 12 cm .

    Hence, the answer is (2) 12 cm.
