    Answer: (2) 1

    Explanation:-

    Let the two co – prime numbers be 8 and 9 
    Then, the factors of 8 = 1 x 2 x 2 x  2
    And the factors of 9 = 1 x 3 x 3 

    Highest common factor = 1

    Then, the highest common factor of two co – prime numbers will be 1. 

    Hence, the answer is (2) 1.
