The word Darjeeling is a combination of two words ‘DORJE‘ which means Thunderbolt and ‘LING‘ which means Place

Darjiling is a town of the Indian state of west Bengal. Actually you know that the word of Darjiling comes from Tibetan words, ‘Dorje’ meaning Thunderbolt (originally the scepter of Indra) and ‘ling’ a place or land. Darjeeling is a holy destination for both Hindus and Buddhists of the city. Darjeeling is also known as the Queen of hill stations.
