If the numerator of a fraction is decreased by 20% and its denominatior is increased by 10%, then fraction will be 16/25. The fraction is
(a) 2/5
(b) 5/2
(c) 3/5
(d) 5/3

    Answer:  (a) 2/5 

    Solution:-
    Let the fraction be X/Y.

    If the numerator of a fraction is decreased by 20% and its denominator is increased by 10%, then fraction will be 16/25. 
    Then,  (80 X/100)/(110 Y/100) = 16/25
    80 X/110 Y = 16/25
    8 X/11 Y = 16/25
    X/Y = 16 x 11/25 x 8
