    The ratio of number of children who die before their first birth out of every 1000 live births

    Infant  mortality rate refer to The ratio of the number of deaths in the first year of life to the number of live births occurring in the same population during the same period of time.  The major causes of infant mortality are birth asphyxia, pnemonia, pre-term birth complications, diarrhea, malaria, measles and malnutrition.

    There is many reason of infant mortality like as the mother’s level of education. environmental conditions, and political and medical infrastructure. Improving sanitation, access to clean drinking water, immunization against infectious diseases, and other public health could help reduce rate of infant mortality.
