# What will be the Interest Percent?

Rohan lends Rs.10,000 in four parts. If he gets 8% interest on Rs.2000, 15/2% on Rs.4000 and 17/2% on Rs.1400. What percent of interest must he get for the remainder If his average annual interest is 8.13%?

- 8%
- 9%
- 10%
- None of these

**Answer: (2) 9% Explanation:-**

Rohan lends Rs.10000 in four parts

Rohan gets Rs.2000 on 8% rate

then, its simple interest = 2000 x 8 /100 = Rs.160

Rohan gets Rs.4000 on 15/2%

then, its simple interest = 4000 x 15/2 x 100 = Rs.300

Rohan gets Rs.1400 on 17/2%

then, its simple interest = 1400 x 17/2 100 = Rs.119

Remainder money = 10000 – (2000 + 4000 + 1400)

= 10000 – 7400 = Rs.2600

then, its simple interest = 2600 x 1 x R/100 = 26R

According to question, Rs.160 + Rs.300 + Rs119 + 26R = 10000 x 8.13/100

R = 9%

Hence, 9% of simple interest must he get for remainder.
