    Sushma Swaraj represented India in United Nations on International Yoga day in June. She is Indian politician and current minister of External Affairs of India. She is a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party. She is the second woman of India who become the minister of External Affairs of India.

    She was born in Ambala Cantt, Punjab, India on 14th February 1952. She was the daughter of Hardev Sharma and Shrimati Laxmi Devi. 

    In 1970, she joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad party. She became the member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1977 from Ambala at the age of 25 years. In 1979, she became the state president of Bharatiya Janata Party of Haryana. She became the education minister of Haryana state from 1987 to 1990.

    She was elected as the She was the first woman chief minister of Delhi in October, 1998.  She was elected as the foreign minister of India in 2009.
