    The Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Co-operation was founded on 6 March 1997. There are 20 members this time Australia, Bangladesh, Comoros, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Mdagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Oman, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Yemen. K V Bhagirath is Secretary General present time.

    Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation (IORARC), a regional cooperation initiative of the Indian Ocean Rim countries, the aim of (IORARC) is promoting economic and technical cooperation with expansion of trade and investment.
