    Kathakali is the dance of Kerala state of India.

    Kathakali is a form of classic dance in India. It is famous for including drama in dance steps, dancer wears eye-caching dresses, costumes and attractive makeup. Dance performer performs with the back-ground music playback and tries to elaborate theme of drama with his/her emotions.

    Kathakali originated in 17th century and now we can see an enhanced form of it. It is based on 101 classic stories that will be performed in a single night. Songs are written in Manipravalam language.

    The International Center for Kathakali in New Delhi, India is developing more classic as well as modern story based dance performances.
