    Mohammad-Bin-Tughlaq

The Whimsical Emperor Muhammad Tughlaq (AD 1325-1350) introduced the leather currency in India but like many of his other monetary reforms it did not succeed. Muhammad bin Tughlaq was the son of founder of Tughlaq dynasty, Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq.
