    Guttation

The loss of water in the form of water droplets is called guttation. The guttation is type of process of removing in the form of liquid drop, drops of water are then forced out of the leaf through special stomata or hydathodes. You know that Colochasia, an aquatic plant has been found to loose more than 250 ml of water per day. The guttation is quite common for many plants of tropical rainforests and it can be seen on the tips of the leaves of young sprouts.
