    Sugarcane is the main commercial crop of Uttar Pradesh. Sugarcane is the main source of the sugar in the world. 60% sugar out of total sugar produced in the world is obtained from the sugar. Asia is the largest producer of sugar in the world. 

    Uttar Pradesh has the largest area about 50% of the sugarcane area in the country. The length of the stem of the sugarcane is two to eight meters and the diameter is three to six centimeters. Sugar is the oldest ingredient of the world.
