    Dugong is a herbivorous marine animal and given legal protection under Schedule I of the wildlife (protection) Act. 1972. It is a medium size marine animal. They may be 3 meters long and weight 400 kilograms.  It is the only strictly marine. It is completely depend on sea grass. These are found in warm costal water from East Africa to Australia. These are also found in Red Sea and Indian Ocean.
