Find the distance between the fort and the man :

A gun is fired from a fort. A man hears the sound 10 second later. If the sound travels at the rate of 330 m/sec, find the distance between the fort and the man.

    Answer:  (1) 3.3 km 

    Explanation:-
    The speed of the sound = 330 m/sec

    A man hears the sound 10 second later. 
    Then, the distance between the fort and the man = 330 x 10
     = 3300 m 
    As we know that 1000 m = 1 km 
    Therefore, 3300 m = 3300/1000
     = 3.3 km

    Hence, the correct answer is option (1) 3.3 km.
