    Literature

    Moortidevi Award is given annually in the Literature field. This award is instuted in 1944 by the Late Sahu Shanti Prasad Jain, founder of Bharatiya Jnanpith. Sahu Shanti Prasad Instituted this award in the memory of his mother.  Moortidevi award given to those personalities who emphasizes Indian philosophy and culture. The prize includes an amount or Rupees Four Lac, a plaque, a statue of Saraswati and a shawl.
