    Nur Jahan

    A Mughal Queen whose name was written on all the Mughal Firmans and Inscribed on the Coins was Nur Jahan (31 May 1577 – 17 December 1645). She was the most influential women in the Mughal period and a favourite wife of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. This Mughal Empress was a brilliant woman with many qualities like She was an artist, a conversationalist, a warrior and most importantly, an influential woman in politics of her time.

    Nur Jahan also was known as the Mehr-Un-Nisa struck her name on the coins and all fo the firmans. She also often appeared in the Jharoka along with the emperor. Nur Jahan was also was engaged in international diplomacy with noble women in other realms, increasing the power of her empire.
