In 1935 at Adelaide, Sir Donald Bradman remarked, “His scores goals like runs in cricket!” after seeing paly Dhyanchad. After seeing his play at the Berlin Olympic, Adolf Hitler offered Dhyan Chand to German citizenship but Dhyan Chand reject the offer. In Holland, the authorities broke his hockey stick to check if there was a magnet inside. Dhyan Chand was honored with Padma Bhushan in 1956.
