    Optical Fiber are mainly used for Communication, commonly used in telecommunications, computer networking and endoscopy. Fiber optic products are very thin and small which means fewer data blockages. All type fiber cables use the same principles to carry information. Fiber optics cables have five major components which are;

    • Core
    • Cladding
    • A Buffer Coating
    • Strengthening
    • Cable Jacket

    There are two types of fiber optic cable, first is Single mode – In this cable consists of one strand of glass fiber with a diameter of 8.3 to 10 microns, which is considered narrow and other hand Multi mode– which made up of glass fibers all of the same diameter which ranges from 50 to 100 microns.

Fiber Optics uses in many field like gun sight, imaging optics, spectroscopy, supply low levels of power, signs, art and even artificial Christmas trees. Fiber is good for the environment. Lower energy requirements means a lower carbon footprint and lower price of operation.
