When was Panchsheel Treaty Signed between India and China?
Panchsheel is Sanskrit word and here Panch mean five and sheel mean virtues. Panchsheel Agreement between India and China on trade and intercourse between Tibet Region of China and India. Panchsheel Agreement was signed at Peking on 29 April 1954.
This agreement stated the five principles as:
- Mutual respect for each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
- Mutual non- aggression.
- Mutual non-interference in each other’s internal affairs.
- Equality and cooperation for mutual benefit.
- Peaceful co-existence.
